Metal tellurium, high-purity tellurium is an off-white metallic luster prismatic crystal or powder, density 6.24g/cm3, melting point 449.5°C, boiling point 988°C, soluble in concentrated nitric acid, concentrated sulfuric acid and strong alkali, not at room temperature ~ Oxygen effect is mainly used in the preparation of semiconductor compounds, thermoelectric conversion elements, piezoelectric transistors, infrared detector elements, light control elements, light deflection elements, and special metal materials. It is widely used in civil, military, aerospace, and electronics fields.
At present, the output of domestic and foreign manufacturers is relatively small. Only a few countries such as the United States, Belgium, and China produce them. The world's annual output is about 400 tons, and the purity is mostly between 3N-4N. 5N-6N products are less, and the world demand is 400 -500 tons. With the rapid development of high-tech products such as the electronic information industry, the demand for tellurium is growing rapidly. The demand for 5N high-purity tellurium in the international market has grown particularly rapidly, and the market is in short supply. In the international market, the selling price of 3N-4N tellurium is mostly between 1.2-1.3 million yuan/ton, while the sales price of 5N tellurium is as high as 1.6-1.65 million yuan/ton.
